چکیده

Biomass, a basic product of agriculture, is one the main sinks carbon in global cycle. Additionally, it can be used as renewable source energy, leading to depletion CO2 emissions. The paper presents results estimations on current and potential share catch crop cultivation climate change mitigation, Poland, where agricultural sector plays significant economic role. estimation assimilation biomass was performed basis our own data yields commonly crops, obtained randomly selected 80 farms content biomass. Calculation energy conducted, assuming its conversion into biogas, literature their biomethane potentials. have shown that crops which are cultivated an area 1.177 mln ha sequestrate 6.85 t yr?1. However, considering total fields for spring cultivation, possible increase sequestration 18.25 yr?1, constitutes about 6% annual emission Poland. Biomethane per hectare particular ranged from 965 1762 m3 CH4 ha?1, were significantly lower compared maize, use biogas plants. due high favorable chemical composition, valuable co-substrate feedstocks with C:N ratio. recovery produced aboveground harvested Poland during year 6327 GWh electricity 7230 thermal energy. Thus, advisable promote wide scale substantial environmental benefits cultivation.

concentration of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) by some 30 percent since the industrial revolution, and that rise continues at a rate of approximately 0.4 percent per year. Despite its seemingly minute concentration (only 0.035 percent), CO 2 inhibits the escape of longwave (thermal) radiation emitted by the earth throughout the entire atmosphere, a process known as the “greenhouse effect.” The presenc...

The Economics of Climate Change in Agriculture

This paper presents a conceptual framework of the impact of climate change on agriculture. It assumes that climate change will result in a fertilization effect and a shift of agro-ecological conditions away from the Equator towards the Poles. The agro-ecological shift is likely to reduce yield because of reduced acreage and the fertilization effect will increase yield. The aggregate effect depe...
